A few changes to the way the sessions are run.
Daily appointments will now be limited, this is due to the cleaning of the therapy room between clients. If you would like another appointment I would recommend booking another appointment in advance if you are limited to certain days and times.
I have introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures between clients, which includes washing and disinfecting any non-porous surfaces and therapy equipment, such as chairs and couches and replacing new couch roll. Strict personal hygiene measures will also be adhered to, including regular hand washing/sanitising.
For the time being, I will be unable to provide toilet facilities, as the toilet is in our home and used by family. I hope you will be able to appreciate this.
Important information for your appointment:
Can I ask you to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment and if you stay in the car, I will come out and call you for your appointment.
I would ask if you could still come wearing your own face covering, if you don't have one then I can provide one for you, this will need to remain on throughout the session and until you leave the therapy room. If you are exempt from wearing a mask please let me know before your session.
Please could you bring your own drink with you.
Please bring your own blanket with you, as there will be no soft furnishings on the couch. You may not need to use it, but sometimes when you have been lying down for a period of time you can feel cold.
Hand sanitiser will be available before entering the therapy room and when you leave.
A plastic container will be provided to place shoes, bags, phones, keys etc.
All routine sessions will be no longer than one hour. This is to reduce contact as much as possible, therefore lowering the transmission risk.
First time sessions can be up to 90mins, as there will be a consultation before the session.
Please note that while many treatments involve close contact, I will be observing social distancing measures wherever possible. This might include, for example, maintaining an appropriate distance during the consultation process, and when arriving and leaving for an appointment.
Prior to your appointment:
Prior to seeing any of my clients, I will be:
Monitoring my own health and deferring treatments if I have COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19.
Contacting my clients 24 hours in advance and deferring any treatments if: they have COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19; are clinically extremely vulnerable and shielding; anyone in their household has COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19; they have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days; they have been contacted by the NHS Test and Trace Service and told to self isolate.
Asking my clients to call and cancel and defer treatment on the morning of their appointment if they have a temperature or other symptoms of COVID-19.Please see NHS website for full list of symptoms.
I may message or call you on the day of your session to check you are feeling well.
Your temperature may be taken upon your arrival, from a safe distance.
Intake forms or update forms will be completed via my website so that they are ready for your session .

A Covid 19 disclaimer will need to be completed 24 hours before your appointment via my website ready for you to sign on the day ( I will send you the link ).
Please Note : If you have had Covid-19, or are classed as vulnerable due to having a condition which is listed on the government website; I will require GP approval before I am able to offer you an appointment.
Measures I have put in place to help protect your health and well being at this time:
I am following guidelines issued by the government, NHS and my professional association, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE).
I have carried out a full risk assessment of my therapy business to reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19).
I have [completed a certified infection control course and] introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures to my practice.
I shall be wearing PPE.
I will be closely monitoring my own health, and that of my clients, to ensure neither party is put at risk of contracting COVID-19.
