Where relevant, information you share may be recorded in your confidential practitioner notes to help me understand your individual needs, personalise your Reiki sessions, support your comfort and maintain continuity between appointments.

Because health information receives additional protection under UK data protection law, I seek your explicit consent where this is the condition relied upon for collecting, recording and using such information, in accordance with Article 9(2)(a) of the UK GDPR.

Client intake forms and Reiki session records may be stored electronically through Wix and as paper records. Information is treated confidentially, stored securely and accessed only where necessary for running my Reiki practice.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me using the details at the end of this policy. Withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out lawfully before consent was withdrawn. I will explain whether any information must still be retained under another applicable lawful basis or legal requirement.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me. Withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out lawfully before consent was withdrawn. Any continued retention or processing would require a separate applicable lawful basis and, where relevant, an Article 9 condition.

Sharing Your Information

I do not sell or trade your personal information.

To manage my Reiki practice, I use trusted third-party service providers, including Wix for my website and online forms, and Google Gmail for email communications.

These services may process or store personal information, including information you choose to share through enquiries, client forms or email correspondence.

Information may also be processed by payment providers or other service providers where necessary for running my business.

I only share personal information where there is an appropriate reason to do so, and I take reasonable steps to ensure that the services I use provide suitable data protection safeguards.

Keeping Your Information Secure

All personalised Reiki documents sent to clients by email, including session summaries, Light Language symbol sheets and supporting information sheets, are password-protected to provide an additional layer of security and help protect confidential personal information from unauthorised access.​

How Long I Keep Your Information

Client intake forms and Reiki session records are normally retained for seven years from the date of your last Reiki session, subject to any applicable legal, insurance or professional requirements.

Enquiries from individuals who do not go on to book a Reiki session are normally retained for up to 12 months from the date of the last communication. After this period, the information will be securely deleted unless there is a legitimate reason or legal requirement to retain it for longer.

​

Appointment correspondence, payment records and other business information are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, or to meet applicable legal, financial or business obligations.

When personal information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised as appropriate.
