Distance Reiki

What is Distance Reiki Healing?

Distance Reiki is a form of energy healing where the practitioner sends Reiki energy to the client remotely, rather than working with the client in person. The practitioner can send the energy to the client through visualization or intention, without the need for physical touch.

Distance Reiki can be done in real-time, where the practitioner and client are connected over the phone or video call and the practitioner sends the energy while the client is receiving it. Or it can be done in non-real time, where the practitioner sends the energy at a specific time and the client receives it at a different time, such as sending Reiki to a client while they are asleep.

Distance Reiki works by connecting with the client's energy field, also known as the aura, and sending healing energy to the areas of the body where it is needed. Because energy and intention are not confined to physical space, distance healing can be done across the globe and still have the same effects.

Distance Reiki can provide many of the same benefits as in-person Reiki such as:

  1. Relaxation and stress reduction

  2. Pain relief

  3. Improved sleep

  4. Boosting immunity

  5. Enhancing spiritual well-being

  6. Improving overall well-being

It's important to note that Reiki is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment, and can be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment. 

What people experience during a distance Reiki session

What people experience during a distant Reiki session is not so different from what people experience during an in-person session. By far the most common experience is a feeling of relaxation and peace. People often fall asleep.  A lot of people experience a tingling sensation, temperature changes,  or feelings of calm or joy.  Some even see swirls of colour with their eyes closed.  However, it’s best not to have any expectation of what you might experience and just let things unfold as they will. A session will last 30 minutes

After your session

Clients often report feeling calm, relaxed, refreshed, or just sleepy after their session.  I encourage my clients to practice good self-care after their session, like drinking plenty of water as this will act like a cleanse, so flushing any toxins out of the body, eating healthy food, and taking time to rest and reflect.  I also encourage people to write down any experiences they had during and after the session.
