What is Distance Reiki Healing?

Distance Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing that is received remotely rather than in person. Because Reiki works with universal life force energy, it is not limited by physical space. This means healing energy can be sent across any distance and still be received fully.
During a distance session, the practitioner connects with your energy field through intention and focus, allowing Reiki to flow where it is most needed. You remain comfortably at home, resting, meditating, or simply relaxing while the session takes place.
Distance Reiki can be shared in real time (for example, while on a call together), or you may choose to receive it quietly at a set time that suits you — even while you sleep. The energy will always be directed to support your highest well-being.

How Distance Reiki Helps
The effects of Distance Reiki are often similar to those experienced in an in-person session. Many people notice:
• Deep relaxation
• A sense of calm or emotional lightness
• Improved sleep and restfulness
• Reduced stress and tension in the body
• A feeling of being more grounded and centred
• Gentle emotional release or clarity
Reiki does not replace medical care but can sit beautifully alongside any treatment or support you are already receiving.

What You May Experience During a Session
Each person’s experience is unique. Some people feel warmth, tingling, or gentle waves of energy moving through the body. Others may see colours, feel emotions soften, or simply drift into deep rest. Some people feel very little during the session itself, and notice the effects later through a shift in mood, clarity, or ease — all of these experiences are completely valid.
The best way to receive Reiki is simply to relax, breathe, and allow the energy to flow without expectation.
A standard session lasts around 30 minutes.

After Your Session
Most people feel calm, peaceful, or refreshed afterward. Some feel tired as the body continues releasing and integrating — this is normal and part of the healing process.
To support yourself after your session:
• Drink plenty of water
• Rest if your body asks for it
• Eat grounding, nourishing foods
• Take some quiet time to reflect
• You may wish to journal any insights or sensations
Your experience may continue to unfold gently over the hours or days that follow.
