What is an aura

Just like your physical body, your Aura can be sick or healthy. Negative energy can clog your Aura and impair your ability to function as a healthy human being.

 

An aura is an energy field that surrounds you whether you are aware of it or not. The thing is though, that your aura and spiritual body naturally absorbs energy from other people and from your surroundings. By not regularly cleansing your aura, you're likely being weighed down by heavy or stagnant energy you inadvertently take on.

 

One of the main functions of your aura is to protect you from negative energies, or coming in contact with negative energy from another, you may hear people call it Psychic attack. 

Auras are a bit like magnets – they naturally pick up the energy that’s circulating around you. We can pick up energies from our environment or from the people we come in contact with. It can even come from the thoughts we think, especially if it's negative self talk about ourselves. Energy is everywhere, and without your aura you’d be feeling the full impact of all the energy, everywhere you went.

 

Most of the time we don't even realise the effect of the negative energy until we are in a full blown low vibrational day and thing after thing keeps going wrong.

When we let that negative energy keep building within our aura without cleansing and releasing it, we are creating blocks that keep us from growing in our spiritual gifts and living in our purpose.

By cleansing your Aura you can:

  • Think more clearly

  • Prevent or reverse illness in your physical body

  • Open yourself to love from the world and people in your life

  • Experience deep, restful sleep and wake up feeling energized

  • Re-spark lost passions or ambitions

  • Heighten your spiritual connection with the universe and the divine

Set Your Intentions

Before beginning any kind of cleansing, it’s essential to set your intentions. You can do this by simply speaking aloud or silently in your mind what you want to release or let go of. Or you could say in general to release any negative thoughts, emotions or experiences that no longer serve you.


 

Cleansing your aura in the shower….Begin by taking a few deep breaths in and out. This helps you to connect to your body and relax, so that the energy can start to flow and your awareness is heightened.

when you are in the shower both morning and evening is to visualize white light falling from the shower head with the water. Close your eyes as you feel the warm water soothing over you, see the light begin to glow a vibrant white, and as it washes over you visualize all negativity being washed away as the water washes over you and down to your feet out in the drain. You could also  imagine it entering through the top of your head filling your body that way as well.  Feel the water washing away any residual energy that is attached to you. Know that it will be gone and will make space for new, positive energies, filled with love and light. 




 

White light

Cleansing, Grounding & Protection in 1 

Another technique I like to use is to imagine roots going from the bottom of your feet and anchoring down into the ground, then imagine a brilliant white light above your head 

( crown chakra ) . Bring that white light down though your crown chakra all the way down through the others chakras and fill your whole body with white light. Start to see this white light rotating inside of you removing anything not for your highest good, then start to see it spinning outside of you removing any negative debris from your aura, then once you feel its all been removed send this up to the universe to be recycled and turned into beautiful healing energy, the universe will then send this energy to where it needs to go in the world. Finally see the white light surrounding you and know you this is your protection.   

 

Finally, express gratitude for the cleansing experience, and give thanks for the positive energy and light that now surrounds you. This will help to further reinforce the cleansing effect and also help you practice your gratitude, which is also an important part of living consciously within your heart space. 

By following these steps regularly, you can cleanse your aura and promote a sense of well-being and positivity, this is also help you keep your vibrations high and also help you stay open to receiving ( Receiving intuitive messages ) because you're in more of a flow state with your own energy without all the stagnant energy we all pick up throughout our daily life.     


 

Walk in the rain.

Rain is a natural way to cleanse your aura with water, which is purifying. Next time it rains, go for a cleansing walk. Be intentional about your walk by imagining the rain washing away your stress, anxiety, or negativity

Don’t go for a walk during a thunderstorm because thunder and lighting can give you funky vibes.

 


 

Salt Baths   Both water and salt have long been revered as energetically cleansing substances. water and salt make a classic combo. 

 

So, to get the best and most complete results, you’re going to want to use sea salt, ideally of Celtic origin, or Pink Himalayan salt, also known as “rock salt,” which is always my first choice. These salts are natural. They haven't been processed or stripped of all the naturally occurring minerals and trace elements.

 

With all of these methods, always begin by setting the intention that your aura will be cleansed and that you are willing to let go of any energies that no longer serve your highest good. 


 

Protecting your Aura

Stepping into your bubble or ball of protection.

This is a very simple technique.

Close your eyes and focus on your breath.

Imagine a white light glowing above your head, see this white light pouring down over you and around you, encasing you in a bubble of protective light. Spend as much time as you’d like visualising yourself in your protective bubble, setting the intention that this bubble of light will protect you throughout your day.

You can Tap into this visualisation anytime throughout your day that you feel you need additional protective support.

 

Cloak of protection

Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Visualise yourself in a full-length sweeping cloak that has been made from the darkest shade of blue – like the midnight blue of the night sky.  This cloak has a hood that you can imagine pulling up so that your head (crown chakra) is also protected. The lining of the cloak could be pink, silver, golden or multicoloured.  Whenever you feel the need to protect yourself and your energy from external influences pull on your cloak – this powerful visualisation harnesses your creative forces and sets a clear energetic intention.

 

 

 

 

Mirror technique

Another great visualisation commonly used is mirrors. Imagine mirrors popping up all around you. Set your intention that anything that is being thrown towards you is deflected off from the mirrors and back towards the source, but turned into love and bounced back.   

PROTECT YOUR AURA with crystals   If you are tired of being drained by negative energy Recruit the help of protection crystals to surround your aura in the light of positivity. 

 

Black Tourmaline 

Black tourmaline crystals are known for their protective properties. They can be used to cleanse energy and protect from negative forces. Known as a powerful grounding stone, providing a connection between the human spirit and Mother Earth.

Black tourmaline is excellent for meditation and healing, for relieving stress and anxiety and can help keep your own energies balanced and positive. If you work or reside in a stressful environment, this stone can protect you emotionally, physically and spiritually. 

 

Amethyst 

Amethyst has the ability to cleanse the aura and chakras and can be used to remove negative energy from your body or home. This stone gives off a frequency that promotes relaxation and calm. It’s a natural stress reliever that can bring on protection and personal growth. Amethyst can be welcomed in balance and harmony. If you’re an empath dealing with conflict or work in a healing type profession (caregiver, nurse, acupuncturist), this would be a great option for you.

 

Hematite

Hematite, a natural form of iron, is a strongly grounding and protective gemstone. With it's beautiful dark shine, this stone is ace at absorbing negative energy and reducing stress in times of worry. 

 

Black Obsidian 

A strongly protective stone, Black Obsidian is a powerful cleanser of your aura and has many metaphysical properties that will protect you against negativity. These are just a few of the crystals you can use for protection. 

ENERGETIC CORDS and how to release them: 

When you interact with people, you develop what is called an energetic cord, like an energetic tube and the energy flows back and forth to the attached person or place. The cords grow with the intensity of the relationship. The largest cords are the ones that connect to parents, siblings and long term relationships. When we release these cords we are not releasing the positive aspect, we are releasing the negative energy, draining our energetic body. For example, let's say that you have a cord connected to your mother who constantly suffers with anxiety and depression. Without knowing, that person starts draining energy from you and you may start to feel tired, drained, anxious, depressed, without knowing why. 

 

Calling on Archangel Michael

You are calling upon the energy of Archangel Michael to release negative energetic cords attached to people, places, fears, stories or situations. 

Simply have the thought " Archangel Michael please cut any negative cords attached to me right now ", you can visualize him with a sword and cutting away the cords, don't worry if you can't, just know it's being done. 

 

RELEASING ENERGETIC HOOKS

This technique requires you to call upon the energy of Archangel Michael and ask him to use his magnet to remove any negative energy, knifes, hooks or debris from your back that has been placed there from other people's thoughts, negative situations you have been around, negative interactions you have had with other people. Again if you can visualize he has a big magnet in his hand and he places it over your back, again don't worry if you can't, just know it's happening. 

 

CLEANSING HOME/WORK SPACE

Call upon Archangel Michael and say " Archangel Michael I ask you to come and remove any lower vibrations or any negative energies from every part of my home, I then ask that you then bring in beautiful bright healing light to fill every part of my home. I then ask you to cleanse everyone in the home and with your sword I ask you to cut away any negative energetic cord or ties from people, situations, places, fears, stories & the past,  and I then ask Archangel Raphael to heal the cords or ties that have been cut and send healing to everyone in the house for their highest good, Thank you. I then ask archangel Michael to stand at all four corners of the house and protect us from any negative energies. Thank you.        

Whenever we ask, always finish with a Thank you. 


 

Grounding Yourself   Why grounding is important:

Grounding is basically balancing out the spiritual and physical energy in your body, by connecting yourself with the earth. When you are grounded, you feel like you are here, in the physical, in the present. To be grounded gives your energy a point of steadiness and you will feel clear, centred, strong and focused.

 

 When you are grounded it allows you to be present, organize your thoughts, and grow in a way that is in alignment with your vision. When you are ungrounded you may feel frantic, stressed, in chaos, easily distracted, powerless, spacey, and unconnected to your body and life. Being ungrounded can make you feel out of control and trigger anxiety because you become easily influenced by other people and your environment. We all have those frantic days where there doesn’t seem to be enough hours, or where we are overwhelmed, people pleasing, trying to meet others’ expectations, feeling scatterbrained, or lost. These are the times when it’s really important to re-ground, bring your energy back to you, refill your cup, and realign with what is important to you. When you are grounded, you become your own energy source, drawing on a strong foundational relationship within yourself. Grounding allows your body to access your talents, your power, and nourish your visions and goals to create the best life for you.
 

  

Different grounding Techniques:

 

Roots

You can imagine yourself standing barefoot on grass, moss, sand, or on the earth. Imagine roots growing out of the soles of your feet and the end of your spine and see them growing deep down into Mother Earth.

Soak up the beautiful, red energy from Mother Earth and let it come through your feet and spine into your body, running up, through your energy body and nourishing you.  Do that for a couple of minutes each day.

 



 

Sitting on The earth

Sit on the earth whenever possible, breathing it all in. Again, imagine growing roots deep, deep down into the centre of Mother Earth, and let her energy come up and warm you. 


 

Walking barefoot

Walk barefoot in nature whenever possible. It really helps us to connect with the essence of Mother Earth. Really pay attention to feeling the grassy ground beneath your feet.

It helps us to release stress and soak up fresh energy.

 



 

Walking in nature

Nature is our greatest healer; being out in nature opens a person up to the Energy of Mother Earth, which is deeply healing and so refreshing. While walking, just feel the connection to Mother Earth with each step you take.

Stamp your feet. – A fun way to ground yourself,  just by stamping your feet. However, remember you may look like you are having a tantrum! 



 

There are many more grounding techniques I.e. Meditation, finding a hobby you love, exercise, breath work, and journaling etc.
